« Rwanda's Untold Story tarnishes the BBC's well-deserved reputation for objective and balanced journalism. We urge the BBC to apologise for the offence this programme has caused for all victims and survivors of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. »
Mr. Tony Hall, Director-General of the BBC, Broadcasting House, Portland Place, London. W1A 1AA
Dear Sir,
We the undersigned, scholars, scientists, researchers, journalists and historians are writing to you today to express our grave concern at (…)

Neighbours Support M23, Says Congolese Representative, as Rwandan Counterpart Rejects Report by Group of Experts Monitoring Sanctions.
Strongly condemning all armed groups operating in the region, the Council demanded, by the text, that the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR), Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) and various Mayi Mayi groups immediately cease all violence, disband permanently and demobilize children from their ranks.
When I first came to America in 2007, people I met asked where I come from. Being from Rwanda always trigged more questions…
“Oh my God ! Did you see the movie Hotel Rwanda ?” a question I always expected to follow. I had seen the movie a few times. Out of curiosity some would ask : “is that stuff still happening ?”
I never doubted their sympathy.
Over the past few weeks the words John F. Kennedy stuck in my head, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”
Often times I see myself as insignificant, sometimes invisible that I get discouraged.
My defense has always been, “Even if I attempted, it would go unnoticed.”
My wake up call was two weeks ago when I confronted Kenneth Roth, the Executive Director of Human Rights Watch ; rending him awfully uncomfortable with simple truths.
